He m.about 1830 Louisa Weller Youll, who was chr.18 Apr 1805 at Southwark (pr), d.08 Oct 1866 at Sawbridgworth, Herts (cert), and bur. at Sawbridgworth (tombstone).

He m.20 Jan 1868 at St Peters, West Hackney, London (cert.) to Louisa Toplis, who was b.29 Aug 1848 at Whitechapel, London (Cert.) and d.19 Oct 1899 at Bramber,Sussex (will) when she was a temperance hotel keeper

John Leonard Hawgood b.23 Apr 1876 at Brighton, Sussex (cert); d. Aug 1948 at Taplow, Bucks bur.1948 at Taplow; a Garage proprietor at Dumb Bell Garage,Taplow, Bucks (1929/30-1948). He m.16 Sep 1904 at St. Nicholas, Brighton,Surrey (cert) to Eveline Mary Sapp. She was b. 01 Aug 1879 at Brighton, Sussex (cert) and d .29 Apr 1949 at High Street, Maidenhead, Berks (Cert.) and bur. at Taplow, Bucks. She was a milliner before she was married, and developed`Fresheena' laundry aid (registered trade mark), invented key for bottom of tube (patent 240/275). (These are the grand-parents of David Hawgood, who knew them at Taplow).

Professor John Arkas Hawgood, b.20 Nov 1905 at Brighton, Sussex; d.16 Sep 1971 at Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, California, USA (Death cert), cremated at Crematory, Santa Cruz, Calif (death cert). He was Professor of Modern History,and later of American History, at the University of Birmingham. Author of Modern Constitutions, Citizen and Government, The Evolution of Germany, First and Last Consul, and The American West. His biography is in "Who was Who" and obituary in "TheTimes". He m.21 Dec 1927 at the British Consulate, Vienna, Austria to Alison Bowker who was b.18 Jul 1904 at Macclesfield, Cheshire (cert) and d.16 Jul 1979 at Manchester, Lancs (cert.) (These are the parents of David Hawgood)

David Hawgood, b.20 Jan 1938 at Kemerton, Worcs chr.08 Apr 1938 at TheKnoll, Kemerton, Worcs (recorded at Methodist Church, Rickmansworth, Herts).Physicist, worked for International Computers Ltd 1962-82, now writes about the use of computers for genealogy. m. 27 Apr 1974 at Christ Church, Esher, Surrey to Dr Barbara Excell, a lecturer in physiology at Queen Elizabeth College, London, who was born in New Zealand.
